How Shop & Brand Ratings Work
CBDCoupons does not create, award or calculate its own ratings for shops or brands. A rating displayed on CBDCoupons represents a score from an identified, qualified external source. We use only traceable information from the source’s official public profile or published assessment.
How a shop or brand receives a rating
The rating originates with the external provider, not with CBDCoupons. A review platform collects customer feedback and determines its overall score according to its own rules. Where an external editorial assessment is used, the assessment and scoring method belong to that publisher. Customer reviews and editorial assessments are different types of evidence; the named source provides the context.
The provider controls review eligibility, invitations, moderation, weighting and score updates. CBDCoupons does not collect customer reviews to calculate a merchant score, submit ratings on customers’ behalf, or independently verify every underlying review or purchase.
Which sources qualify for display
A familiar provider name alone is not sufficient. Before using a rating, we check that:
- The source is identifiable and traceable. The original public profile or assessment must show a score and make its origin and rating context understandable. Examples of external providers include Trustpilot and Google, where the relevant business profile meets these requirements.
- The identity matches. The profile must refer to the listed shop, brand or matching business website. A similarly named business, unrelated domain, app rating, individual product review or unrelated local branch is not a substitute for the listed merchant’s rating.
- The evidence is recorded. Our rating record must include a positive score, a recognized source name, the original source URL and a date when the information was checked. The review count is recorded when available.
A shop’s unsupported self-rating, an unverifiable badge, a search-result snippet or a copied screenshot alone does not qualify. “Official source” means the original rating provider’s own public record; it does not mean government approval, certification, or an endorsement by CBDCoupons.
Which rating appears on CBDCoupons
We display the recorded overall score from one identified external source for the shop or brand. We do not combine different platforms into a CBDCoupons average, add editorial bonus points, or replace the source’s score with our own judgment. Different providers may use different methods, so their scores are not necessarily directly comparable.
- Five-star display: stars summarize the recorded external score on a five-point scale. Partial stars reflect the value; for example, 4.3 out of 5 fills 86% of the five-star row. If a source explicitly uses a ten-point scale, a presentation conversion divides that score by two. This changes the display scale, not the underlying assessment.
- Source details: the brand profile’s rating reference identifies the provider and links to the original source. The recorded review count, when available, and the “checked” date provide additional context. Listing cards may show a compact star summary.
- No qualified rating: five empty gray stars mean that no complete, qualified external rating is available in our record. This is not a zero-out-of-five score and is not a negative judgment about the shop or brand.
Updates and limitations
Displayed ratings are snapshots of information checked on a particular date. The “checked” date is not the date of every review. Scores and review counts can change at the source, and CBDCoupons does not promise a live feed or a fixed refresh interval. Follow the source link for its current score, review history and methodology.
Consider the number, age and substance of reviews as well as the score. A high rating based on few reviews is not equivalent to a long review history. An external rating is not a guarantee of product quality, safety, legality, fulfillment or future service.
Advertising does not buy a higher rating
Affiliate relationships and sponsored placements may affect where a listing appears. They do not change the external score we reproduce. A shop or brand cannot purchase a higher rating from CBDCoupons. Listing order and star rating are separate information.
Report a rating error
If a score is outdated, refers to the wrong business, or cannot be traced to the stated source, please contact us and select “Report a Brand”. Include the CBDCoupons listing URL, the original provider profile URL and a description of the discrepancy. We check the evidence and correct or remove an unsupported rating; we do not negotiate a replacement score.
